YouTube Anywhere

I'll introduce a little thing of mine named "YouTube Anywhere". It's a greasemonkey script that enables you to instantly watch YouTube videos linked on weblogs, linklogs such as del.icio.us, and of course YouTube itself.

Install: youtube_anywhere.user.js

Its features are like this:

  • You can watch a movie with a cool player on the spot without following a link to YouTube.
  • The player provides you the links to download the movie, and to post the movie to linklogs (it currently supports del.icio.us, Spurl.net, and Hatena::Bookmark.
  • And also it provides the original URI of the movie on YouTube, and the snippet of the tags that enables you to show the player on your weblogs etc.

After installing the script, visit http://del.icio.us/tag/youtube as a test, and you'll see some icons as below.

And click the one, then...

A cool player appears, and you can watch the movie on the spot, download it, post it to your linklog, blog it, and so on. Pretty convenient!
